About our Church
Established in the 1950s by Elder Hansel Brownlee, The Church of God In Christ #2 in Fort Lauderdale witnessed vibrant growth under the dedicated leadership of Elder Brownlee and the support of Mother Freddie Mae Brownlee-Bellamy. In 1962, the baton passed to Elder E. J. Anderson, marking a new era as the church relocated to 2841 NW 19th Street. It soon was renamed Anderson Temple Church of God in Christ, earning the title "Holy Ghost Headquarters" and serving as the headquarters for the Pentecostal District.

Following Elder Anderson's departure in 1996, the interim leadership of Elder Larry Bellamy paved the way for his appointment in 1998. He proved to be a great leader and moved the church forward until his departure. The year 1999 brought a new chapter with the arrival of Elder Wardell Chadwrick, a dynamic preacher whose unadulterated Gospel delivery resonated with the congregation. Under his leadership, the church underwent a transformative moment in 2013, rebranding as New Life COGIC.

Pastor Chadwrick and his gifted family, have steered New Life COGIC to be a radiant beacon of love and faith in the community. Their commitment to declaring the Good News of Jesus Christ reflects the timeless message, “...and they will know we are Christians by our love."
